9-to-Bride: Dolly Parton Themed Chattanooga Bachelorette, need I say more??
FILE THIS ONE UNDER: one of the most fun things I’ve ever created!! One of my very best friends got married last year and I had the delight of planning the theme of her bachelorette trip. We went to Chattanooga, Tennessee, and my friend adores Dolly Parton (Who doesn’t? The woman is a saint!). I love a good pun, so when I thought of “9-to-Bride”, word play with Dolly’s song titled “9-to-5”, we were sold on the theme. I poured myself a cup of ambition and had so much fun learning more about Dolly, infusing her into the decorations, and using Coat of Many Colors as inspiration for the colors and style.
We took this trip in October which was such a gorgeous time of year to drive up to Tennessee. I had some INCREDIBLE custom Dolly Parton cookies made by Tiffany the Bakesmith who absolutely knocked it out of the park! We visited some wonderful places like Rosie Mae’s Alpaca Farm, Umbrella Alley, and the Walnut Street Bridge to name a few. We had such great time. I of course took photos of the weekend, but I didn’t want to add any more photos into my digital editing queue so I shot it all on 35mm film!! Much less time editing and you truly just cannot beat the feel of film, I love how these turned out. I hope you have nearly as much fun looking at these as we had being in them!
