Ya’ll… this paint powder family session was SO MUCH FUN! When Danielle approached me about a family session with her husband and 5-year-old son, she told me she was open to whatever creative ideas I had and to have fun with it! We brainstormed together and landed on such a fun idea… paint powder!! Also known as holi powder, which is just cornstarch and coloring. They wore white to be the perfect canvas, their little man had a BLAST, and they even went to go get ice cream after – still covered in paint powder! During this session, it truly felt like this family was making memories and I was just there on the sidelines to take photos of it. Danielle said her son talked about this experience for weeks after! I would highly recommend this activity for families with school-aged kiddos (I would also highly recommend playing with this paint powder on top of a sheet because the dust definitely added up, the sheet enabled us to take the residual paint powder with us and not leave a mess behind in this beautiful public space).
