Last fall, we took Kristi & David’s vibrant maternity photos at Green Meadows Preserve in West Cobb for their second baby on a brisk morning in a field of Goldenrods!! None of us even knew they were in bloom when we chose Green Meadows to be our photoshoot location, we were all stunned at the vast sea of yellow flowers when we arrived. What makes this even more special is that David is originally from Kentucky, the state flower of which is the Goldenrod! What a perfect little nod to his home state.

This was such a joyful morning, Kristi is one of my very best friends and I was 8 months pregnant right along side her when we did this session. A month later, our babies were born less than two weeks apart!! Kristi looked nothing short of ethereal in that morning light – talk about a pregnancy glow lol! I had the best time taking their photos and to this day it’s still one of my favorites. You know I’ll be closely watching for these Goldenrods to bloom do more photoshoots in this fall this year!
